[edit] An AMX-30 of the French 6th Light Armoured Division
I am a little bit surprised by the "AMX-30 of the French 6th Light Armoured Division": the current 6th Armoured Brigade does not have units operating main battle tanks like the AMX-30, but only light wheeled tanks, armoured troop transports and self-propelled artillery. Can anyone comment on this ? Rama 07:43, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
According to [1], the AMX-30 B2 unit was the 4th Dragon regiment [2], which is currently disbanded. Of which unit it was part is unclear. Rama 07:58, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Further, during the Gulf War, like the British, formations, units on operation ‘mixed and matched’ to bring together the best equipped, the full strengthened, and to make up shortfalls in personnel. Peacetime and paper formations and formations on operation don’t always match. Chwyatt 11:36, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Think 4 RD was assigned from the armored divisions in France for the op. Not from 7th Armored, and not from 3rd or 5th Armoured in Germany. Buckshot06 14:19, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
