Does anyone know how much Onyx is worth?

[edit] Black or not?

onyx is also an oldschool rap/hip hop group —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.71.114.112 (talk) 18:11, 18 January 2008 (UTC) Onyx (disambiguation) says Onyx is a "black mineral", but that is not discussed on this page. In fact, on this page it says it can be "almost every color (not including ... black)."

  • The disambig page now says onyx is "banded" so I assume someone corrected it. However the article says:

"Onyx is a cryptocrystalline form of quartz. The colors of its bands range from white to almost every color (not including . . . black). . . . Sardonyx is a variant in which the colored bands are sard (shades of red) rather than black."

If Sardonyx is a variant of onyx with red bands "rather than black" then that implies onyx has black bands, contradicting the previous sentence. 192.82.6.31 02:57, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Does anyone know? This stone, and many others have been mentioned many times over in the Bible. I wonder if there is any significance of relating these stones to the twelve tribes of Jacob and what that significance is or what application can be drwan from that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.220.31.136 (talk) 07:13, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
