CalTrans G9-5 type guide sign for Onyx, California along SR178. Photo shows the mountainous terrain of the Kern River valley. Foothills of Onyx Peak at left. Right one of three peaks in background may be Woodward Peak. Photo taken looking westbound on SR178 at the eastern extent of the community during Winter 2007. This image:
