[edit] Guelph-Humber

Should this have its own entry in the template? It's just a satellite campus for UoG, isn't it? Radagast 20:16, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

According to a friend at Guelph, it has a more distinct status since it's not really a part of either Guelph or Humber, compared to say University of Toronto Scarborough, University of Toronto Mississauga, or Glendon College. Don't know why it's not mentioned at Humber College. –Pomte 21:33, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I removed it. It's like having one of U of T's affiliated colleges listed, or University of Toronto Mississauga. It's not its own degree-granting institution. GreenJoe 05:21, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ryerson

Removed Ryerson, it's a polytechnic institute - look it up. It has limited authority to grant degrees but this does not make it a university, and hence it should NOT be on this template. Ryerson should be on the Ontario Colleges template, not the University template. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.42.104.147 (talk) 19:16, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

You're wrong, and I've re-added it. J 17:21, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Very wrong, Ryerson has had full authority to grant degree's for almost 20 years.. get with the times pal —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.132.12.80 (talk) 20:22, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
See here: [1] I think this should be the source as to what declares a University to be a University... I don't believe any private universities in Ontario are actual universities... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.132.12.81 (talk) 13:01, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
