Ontario Sportsman Series is a Canadian stock car auto racing series. Founded in 2007 the Ontario Sportsman Series is the unofficial successor to the CASCAR Sportsman Series, after NASCAR purchased CASCAR it was announced that there would be no equivalent of the former CASCAR Sportsman Series in 2007. The series is based on the 2005 CASCAR Sportsman series rulebook omitting the 2006 additions (HANS device, firesuits for ‘over the wall’ crews, etc.). The Series has a major sponsor in 2007 in Castrol Canada. In 2007 the series is running six events at 5 different race tracks.
