Online video analytics

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Online video analytics is the field of Internet audience information analysis for web video. Video on the internet is expected to grow at nearly 40% annually through 2011[1], while viewership on traditional television is falling [2].

This growing market requires audience information analysis for videos to be monetized through advertisements, much in the way Nielsen Ratings does for traditional television.
