Onithochiton marmoratus is a species of chiton in the family Chitonidae.

This species is endemic to the southern half of the South Island of New Zealand.

This chiton is found at depths of about 30 m.
[edit] Description
The shell is rather small, ovate, sculptured with radial series of pustules. The head valve has about 20 radials, the lateral areas of median valves have three primary and a few weaker intermediate radials, and the tail valve has a terminal, margining series of pustules.
Coloration is flesh to orange, variegated with green and brown.
Length is up to 20 mm, and width up to 13 mm.
