Onion Trump
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Onions Trump is a band formed by members of The Darkness' road crew as the band toured extensively throughout Europe and America in support of their debut album Permission to Land.
The band consists of Richie Edwards (previously Dan Hawkins' guitar tech) on lead guitar, Sean "Stig" Tighe (Justin Hawkins' guitar tech) on rhythm guitar and vocals, Chris Taplin (production manager, formerly of Brighton dreampop quartet Frazier Chorus and Heavenly-signed Espiritu) on drums and percussion, Stuart Quinnell (Frankie Poullain's funky bass tech) on bass guitar and multi-instrumentalist Timm Cleasby (monitor sound).
After the departure of Richie Edwards to replace Frankie Poullain as The Darkness' bass guitarist in 2005 and subsequent installation as frontman of The Darkness's successor band Stone Gods, the remaining members of Onion Trump are seeking a replacement, and therefore it is unknown whether they will continue performing.
