[edit] The Sky and the lighting outside of Jericho?

Ok, now I thought this was just weird but if you watch when people are outside of Jericho, the sun light and sky is normal, but whenever any of the characters leave the town, its grey or overcast with a blue/grey tone?

they film the town scenes in van nuys. as for outdoor scenes i am not sure.

yea but does that have any meaning from the producers? Jericho=Good/Safe Vs. Outside world=Bad/Corrupt/dangerous Example, the green lighting when someone is in the Matrix (matrix trilogy) vs someone in the real world (Zion) 74.69.159.42 01:34, 7 April 2007 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ITDEFX (talkcontribs) 03:33, 6 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Hawkins access to Satellites

Looks like Robert has access somehow to surveillance satellites if he is able to take pictures of the "buyer" and the "boss", then uses it to watch his family. Why hasn't he used it to check the status of other cities that have been hit or other towns or whatever?

Wow that's a really good point. Instead of listening on the HAM radio in episode one he could have just pulled up the satellite imagery and seen how much damage was really done. I hope that they start giving us more information from the outside world, we've gone several episodes without learning anything new...--Jwsmiths 14:32, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Well he must be using this technology to check on the roads between Jericho and Nebraska and know which routes are safe to take. I doubt he takes the laptop with him when he's on the road. So far he is the only one who's gone outside of Jericho without running into any problems. I doubt next week's episode will give us ALL we need to know about Robert or his plans.

Who knows what Hawkins is doing "off screen", they cant give away too much information to viewers too quickly, or it will kill the mystery before the season is over. I suspect Hawkins knows ALOT more about general state of the country than he has revealed on screen. Its sort of how we found out this week that Johnston and Jake were secretly listening to Kansas radio broadcasts then decided it was time to let everyone in on it. I was kind of wondering about radio broadcasts - and just then they told us - they must have been reading peoples mind - either that or they were reading message boards! Most people in town still dont know they have a tank (though 2 kids stumbled across it). I think Hawkins is and has been working for the CIA - based on his access, investigation skills and whats been going on in the COUNTDOWN web episodes. Sarah of course was a double agent playing both the bombers and the CIA against each other for her benefit. She had planned to sell the bomb back to the terrorists then run off somewhere with Hawkins to build a life together. That plan backfired, big time.
Surely the fact that the children stumbled accross the tank, and then straight away everybody was talking about the marines being fakes implied that the children went and told people in the town? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 59.167.79.103 (talk) 10:09, 9 April 2007 (UTC).

Is he planning to take out the "boss"?

Is Hawkins actually delivering the bomb or trying to find out exactly who Sarah was working for? Guess we'll find out.--Jwsmiths 22:39, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Attacks outside of America?

The part of bombings outside the USA was removed from the episode.74.69.159.42 01:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

No, I just watched that part. I live in Toronto,Canada.

I live in New York State. i saw no mention of it in the episode that aired in the USA. Where in the episode was it stated so i can cross-check to see if the USA and international episodes were edited differently.74.69.159.42 01:27, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

It was almost the end, the only thing after it was Robert Hawkins looking at his FBI badge.

How was it mentioned? The music playing may have drowned it out if it was an audio clue. Not trying to be rude but for the sake of finding it easily please describe the EXACT spot you saw the news in. I posted a note on usenet and no one else saw the news either. if it was on the radio they were listening to then it was edited out as i paid attention to that scene very carefully. :) 74.69.159.42 01:52, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

I was listening carefully as well. Didn't hear a thing about attacks outside the United States. And considering the way everyone reacted in episode one when they heard there was more than one bomb, you'd think they'd do the same upon hearing there were international attacks on top of that. --DMAJohnson 01:55, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
How do we know that the news about bombings in the U.K. and Australia was ever a part of the episode to begin with? The only place I've ever seen it mentioned was here on Wikipedia, and the statement was unsourced and therefore unverifiable. 209.244.189.27 03:14, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
True I did not see that plot element listed anywhere else -- however, given the nature of the show it would make sense if these attacks occurred in at least a few other countries that were closed allied with the United States.--Jwsmiths 03:32, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Considering that the attack method, pattern, and basic overall effect closely matches (frighteningly close I might add, making me wonder where they are getting their advisors from) what is currently known or suspected in intelligence agency circles to be the plan for Al Qaeda's "American Hiroshima" attack, attacks in allied countries would be likely. The real world plan is to hit seven or more US cities (captured Al Qaeda documents and statements list the top seven targets in the US as New York, Washington, D.C., Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, and Chicago, all of which have been hit in Jericho) using 15 to 20 kiloton yield devices concealed in lined 55 gallon drums or other shielding, stored in small towns outside the target cities to avoid NEST and DHS sensors and sweeps, then quickly move them into place and detonate at a pre-determined time. Simultaneous to this are planned attacks in Europe, mainly against England, France, Germany, and Italy, though details on those attacks are sketchy as they are locked down tight by the intelligence agencies to preserve "international relations". As Jericho is following closely to the actual real-world plans of the terrorists that have been discovered, albeit in a Hollywood-ized manner and with the conspiracy-theory angles, it would logically follow that attacks in the UK, Europe, and possibly Australia would definately be on the table. It should also be noted that no air-drops, troops, or other aid from any of America's close allies have been seen or rumored, which indicates that they are swamped and dealing with their own internal issues, possibly resulting from attacks on their own soil.--Breandán 17:12, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

the other town got aid from Germany, which is a close nato ally, if the UK had been hit its likely given there economic interdependence they either concentrate there or be too economically damaged to lead aid.
