[edit] Similarity to Life in Hell?

In numerous attempts, I cannot find any official link between this movie and Life in Hell creator Matt Groening, yet the animation sequences bear striking resemblances to characters in that strip. At the same time, my research has shown that the animation team in One Crazy Summer did indeed go on to do The Simpsons on The Tracey Ullman Show. Again, it appears that this link only appears AFTER the making of this movie, though. Does anyone have any confirmation one way or the other regarding the One Crazy Summer rabbit and the Life in Hell rabbit? Ehurtley 04:08, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, after much searching, the best I can find is that OCS animator David Silverman LATER went on to do The Simpsons shorts that were part of the Tracy Ullman show, and continued to the full series. He appears to have had zero link with Groening before The Tracey Ullman Show, though. I also can't find any references anywhere where Silverman says that Life in Hell was an influence on him, although LiH does predate One Crazy Summer by almost a decade, so it is possible that LiH was an influence on Silverman. [edit] Godzilla reference?

Is this the film with the sequence featuring a Godzilla costume, a dropped cigarette and a model of Tokyo? If so, this used to be one of my favourite movies ;-) TIA HAND —Phil | Talk 11:01, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, this is the move you're thinking of. --Stivo 02:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] another possible meaning for Ack

in the 40's, Anti Air guns were nicknamed "Ack-Acks" for the sound that they make when firing. signed by: Ferrariguy1000 (talk) 23:13, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
