Regarding the list of Companies, etc.: I removed One NorthEast and Gateway One because neither is known, or likely to be known, as simply "One"--at least, I didn't see anything in the articles that would lead me to believe that either is called just "One". I left in Elonex ONE because its article explicitly states that it is sometimes known as "ONE". There are many things known as "One [something]" (One America Initiative, One Big Union), and many, many more known as "[something] One" (Capital One, Westwood One, Ketel One, etc, etc). But the only articles that really belong here are the ones that are, or might be, known as "One". As for ordering them alphabetically, dab page entries should generally be ordered according to how closely they match the disambiguated term. I don't think this sublist is so long that there's a good reason not to follow that guideline. --ShelfSkewed Talk 13:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I take your point but saw no problem having more entries rather than being over selective. On your rational I think the Veterans in Ireland should be removed or the entry corrected. They are know as O.N.E. and not as ONE. Also, I prefer alphabetic lists but if the standard is to have 'closest match first' then I would re-order to put the Music and Television sections above the 'Companies, organizations and brands' section. My preference is for strict alphabetic lists within alphabetically sequenced sections. This makes it clearly NPOV and is easiest for a reader.--Brian R Hunter (talk) 17:37, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- ONE redirects here and the three-letter, all-caps combinations are, I think, generally understood to cover initialisms and acronyms. As far as the ordering of the sections, I'm open to any sensible arrangement. If you would like to move the 'Companies, organizations and brands' section, and/or perhaps rename it, I have no objection. --ShelfSkewed Talk 18:00, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ok I will correct the O.N.E. entry. But as my preference is for alphabetic sequences I will leave the section order. --Brian R Hunter (talk) 18:16, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
