[edit] Plot
The Cigarette Smoking Man reveals all of the Syndicate's secrets to his son, Special Agent Jeffrey Spender in order to gain his trust. Mulder learns that the Syndicate is initiating the final step of the conspiracy with the hybridization of themselves and their families, and he must stop it from happening. However, the rebel aliens have other plans for the Syndicate members. Agent Spender deceives his father and arranges for Mulder and Scully to be re-assigned to the X-Files, an act of treachery that does not sit well with the Cancer Man.
