The One Act Festival is a yearly festival that is held by different schools and districts all across the United States.
The different districts are each separated into groups, (A, B, C...) and then compete against each other by doing a one act play.
Plays such as "Almost Maine" and "Spoon River" and "Away From Here" are some examples of the plays that have been used in the Festival.
The festival is separated into different levels. Regionals, States, Area (New England, Mid West, etc.) and Nationals. In order to proceed to the next stage of the festival, your school must come in first place in the previous stage. There are judges who judge the plays and then give them a respective score depending on the actors' and actress' performance as well as the tech crews' speed and efficiency.
