One_World_Orchestra_-_The_Magnificent_(excerpt).ogg (Ogg Vorbis sound file, length 23s, 153kbps)

23-second sample of "The Magnificent" by The One World Orchestra featuring the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Children's Free Revolutionary Volunteer Guard.
Written by Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty.
Source: The Help Album, Go! Discs 828 682-2, 1995.

This excerpt serves to illustrate the One World Orchestra's only track, "The Magnificent", a drum'n'bass version of "The Magnificent Seven" theme featuring the voice of Serbian radio presenter DJ Fleka. Produced after The KLF's retirement, Drummond and Cauty assumed a new alter ego for the project, which they donated to War Child's Help album, in aid of relief efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Fair use rationale This is a sound sample from a commercial recording. Its inclusion here is claimed as fair use because:

  • it illustrates an educational article that specifically discusses the song from which this sample was taken
  • it is a sample of about 20 seconds from a much longer recording, and could not be used as a substitute for the original commercial recording; and
  • it is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted sample of comparable educational value.
  • it is believed that this sample will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original recording.

I believe that this use of the excerpt is in good faith, and that its inclusion enhances rather than reduces the commercial value of the recording from which it was drawn. --Vinoir 01:46, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
