One Third- The Biography

They hail from three different sections of the island of Jamaica, but Al, Adrian and Miguel have been drawn together by what can only be considered as their common love for music. The result of this magnificent combination is One Third.

Although the journey started just over a year ago, it was the 2006 Digicel Rising Stars competition that turned the eyes of Jamaica on these multi-talented young men, which made the name One Third, a staple in households, offices and schools right across the length and breadth of Jamaica.

Al, Adrian and Miguel, are all youngster in their early to mid twenties, with Al being the eldest, and as a consequence he has taken on the role of big brother for the others. Al whose journey started during his time at Excelsior High School, has a hypnotic control over his female audience, with his somewhat effortless cool deliveries. Al is keen on taking another step up the rung of the music industry. Adrian, whose seemingly innocence has found great favour with ladies of all ages, will tell you he has been singing from the tender age of five years old. He has traded his chances of a full time medical career to be with his first love, music. Miguel’s career started early, when he and his peers created havoc with the desks at Calabar High School beating them like drums. And as fate would have it, his first stint in the music industry was as a drummer. Miguel was however determined to make the transition, and his politician like charisma, has caused the ladies to be drawn like magnet to steel.

Since being crowned Digicel Rising Stars 2006 One third has appeared on several major events including CVM TV’s Startime, Teensplash and sharing stage with the internationally re-nowned Manhattans.

One Third is ready and rearing to go, beyond the boundaries of their natural musical instincts, reggae, to genres and territories not yet explored.

One Third is ready for the world.
