Talk:Ondol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Merging this article to 'Underfloor heating' is not appropriate in view that modern-day archaeological finds indicate the Brozne Age type of Ondol has been found in the ancient 'excavated dwelling'. Another reason: Ondol is both for cooking and heating, while 'underfloor heating' is a modern architectural concept of home heating methods.Chmyr (talk) 22:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC) User Yeahsoo have added the following phrase:
(AKA: "kang"(Kang_bed-stove (Chinese: 炕; pinyin: kàng) (Chinese: 炕; pinyin: kàng) )
- Ondol is a distinctive cultural tradition of Koreans since prehistoric times different from the Kang. I have reverted changes made by Yeahsoo, and will continue to do so unless proven otherwise.
- I am just listing the kang bed-stove in the see also topic, because they use similar concept, and in the purpose of spreading knowledge. I do not put any claim of either item is originated from either of them. please view this matter in good faith and without bias. --Simon18i 15:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
