[edit] Children's version

"This play is sometimes performed in school, where some content is usually changed to be more suitable for a younger audience. One change is that Ti Moune simply turns into a tree, instead of dying." Is this necessary? This seems to be inappropriate for the Plot section, since it doesn't really have anything to do with the plot of the actual musical. Remove? And does anyone read this page? 192.52.218.34 06:38, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

I don't think this is necessary in the plot area. And yes, some people read this article. (well at least, I do)--Onceonthisisland 15:01, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't think there should be a separate section for this information either, though. Where else would this belong? It is a necessary for wikipedia to verify that there is a children's version, though, and the differences between the two versions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.191.103.141 (talk) 02:26, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Article for gods?

Would it be possible to have a seperate wikipedia page for each of the gods? right now, the links to Agwe, Erzulie, and Asaka are of actual gods.--72.43.26.84 12:56, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

It's possible for anything to be added to wikipedia that is notable and has verifiable and reliable sources. 21:27, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
In other words, is there enough encyclopedic information available about these characters (as distinguished from the gods upon which they are based) in secondary sources that you can find in a library or online about the topic to write a good encyclopedia article about each of them? Otherwise, it is best just to describe the characters in this article. -- Ssilvers 21:25, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Movie = a hoax?

Yes it would seem as though it was a hoax. Anyway, whether or not it was a hoax (as it apeared to be) it should have been removed anyway, as it was unsourced. Oh, and please don't forget to sign your posts by typing four tildes. Thanks! --θnce θn this island Hawaii 22:15, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

I removed the movie. I tried to find any other information about it and absolutely none exist. So, I'm assuming that project is not real. 23:09, 8 September 2007 (UTC)—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.31.30.126 (talkcontribs)

Removal of information is not really the best way to go, I would suggest that a registered editor familiar to the subject, submit this to WP:AFD for proper discussion, the article has a rather long edit history, by multiple editors, so I'm unclear if this is a hoax or not. I'll place an unref tag, and a {{hoax}} tag on it in the meantime. ArielGold 00:40, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Are we talking about the play itself or the movie? If you are saying that the play is a hoax, than that isn't true. There are several references for the play and (while I think that this might be called original research) I was in a production of the play once. I was just wondering if you could clear that up. Thanks. --θnce θn this island Speak! 22:00, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Never mind, I re-read the article and I saw that the movie stuff had been added again, so I get it now. --θnce θn this island Speak! 22:40, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

I guess that I am somewhat of an authority on this subject, as I run the composers' website. There has been talk of a movie on and off since the early 90's, but nothing has come to fruition yet. It may happen someday, it may not. The movie that IS happening is called "After The Storm" and is a documentary about a group of teens in New Orleans staging the show post Katrina.Ronnik 15:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Ronnik

The film was added again. I checked, again, and there is still no information confirming it. Thus, it was removed...yet again. The contents can be found in the history, if anybody can find sources to cite. --omtay38 19:49, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I think it only makes sense if this movie this was a hoax... I mean, Lucas Grabeel, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and Elijah Kelley and Matt Long? Does that casting make any sense to you? High School Musical meets Hairspray? Where does this all fit in to the story??? Besides the obvious flaw of Lucas Grabeel, Ashley Tisdale, and Matt Long not even being close to looking like they hail from the French Antilles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.191.103.141 (talk) 02:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Let's make this plain & simple: If you have a source for this film & cast, tell us what it is. Until that time, do not put such wildly unlikely information into Wikipedia. CaptHayfever (talk) 07:28, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
