Once Upon a Time in Peckham is a forthcoming British television sitcom. It is a prequel to the popular Only Fools and Horses, which ran for seven series and nine special one-off episodes between 1981 and 2003.
[edit] Setting
The series, to be written by John Sullivan (writer and creator of Only Fools and Horses) will be set in the 1960s, charting the teenage years of Del Boy in and around Peckham. Other characters are likely to include: Boycie, Trigger, Mickey Pearce, Denzil, Reg and Joan (Del and Rodneys' parents), a young Grandad, and Rodney as a toddler.
[edit] Progress
The first scripts for Once upon a Time in Peckham are being written as of November 2006.
As yet there have been no cast announcements. However, it has been strongly hinted that David Jason could make a comeback as either a cameo, as Del Boy in the future (In the form of flash forwards) or as a different character in the main cast.
The pilot episode will see Del Boy in the 1960s as he bunks off school, becomes a Mod and flogs dodgy gear to his mates.
