Once In A Blue Moon is a series of graphic novels published by Oni Press, written by Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir. The first volume was published in 2004, and featured art by Jennifer Quick. The series is looking for a new artist and has thus yet to publish a second volume, but many volumes are planned.
[edit] Plot
Once In A Blue Moon is the story of Aeslin Finn, a teenaged girl who finds a storybook she hasn't seen since she was a young child. She discovers the kingdom in the book is in terrible trouble, and for one moment, she wishes she could be there to help. She is transported into the world of the storybook and discovers that it is her destiny to find the last dragon, Blue Moon, awaken him, and team with him to save the kingdom. In her travels, she encounters a rabble-rousing playwright, a tomboy bandit, and secrets from her own family's past.
