Onboarding is applicable to promotional opportunities within organizations, and strategies implemented to promote and orient company veterans to new roles follow the same time-line.
Onboarding should be thought of as occurring at three levels: accommodation, assimilation and acceleration.
Accommodation involves things that enable executives to do work. This includes things like getting them an office, phone, computer and other tools they will need.
