On a Wing and a Prayer is the seventh studio album by Gerry Rafferty.
[edit] Background
By the early 1990s, Rafferty's commercial success had practically vanished, with his latest albums at best making a weak presence in the British charts and never touching the American charts. The minor success of his latest albums was not deterring him from making another album. He asked his friend Joe Egan to collaborate on some of the album's songs, some of which were new renditions of Stealers Wheel-era songs. Reviews again came back very positive and the song "Don't Give Up On Me" is regularly played on BBC Radio 2.
