On Cloud Seven was a football fanzine dedicated to the trials and tribulations of Hull City in England. The first edition hit the Hull streets in August 1989 and issue 9 emerged in December 1990, prepared bi-monthly by a collective of five editors (Gary Clipson, Catherine Redgwell, Mike Scott, Steve Weatherill and Andy Wilson) with the benefit of tremendous artwork prepared by Rob Arkell. The fanzine combined up-to-date analysis and opinion with interesting articles on the history of the club and useful information for the discerning away match traveller.
The fanzine's name was inspired by carpenter and part-time football manager Colin Appleton, who returned to manage the club in 1989 and revealed to a Radio Humberside hack that he was "on cloud seven" about his reappointment at the Tiger helm. He was gone again within a few months.
