Talk:On-topic

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ive updated the page a bit and will probably do so a bit more in the next few days. Added a bit more information regarding usage of the term "off topic," and some new external links.

[edit] Off-Topic Link

Perhaps you can add an Off-Topic link to the opposit of On-Topic :) Anker99 01:51, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This article is back-to-front.

People don't write "on-topic" posts, they write posts, which may be "off-topic" or not. ie: on-topic is defined only as an opposite of off-topic. Off-topic posts are marked as OT, whilst On-topic posts are not marked. If there are no objections, I will convert it across in a week or so. --BP 10:41, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] OT ban policies

I could not quickly come up with any references for the paragraph I added about OT ban policies. Any experience list manager could could tell one this but a survey would need to be done (and probably has been) but I have not found it... The article should / does cover both on-topic and off-topic. I did not even notice that my seach to off-topic was redirected to on-topic. Artcile naming policies may dictate...
