Instructions for using the super-dee-dooper award template puzzle machine!!!! (These directions will be more properly written at a later date. Feel free to tackle this task yourself if you are so inclined. Also, the templates are now in my sandbox space but will eventually be in much more appropriately named locations.)
This template exists in three separate puzzle pieces that are simply placed one below the other:
Description | Code (what to paste) | |
---|---|---|
Piece 1 | This is the heading for a specific production which should be entered in the format Year Production title (i.e. 2004 Original Broadway Production, or 1987 West End Revival) One of these should be added for each separate production. |
|
Piece 2 | This piece is used once for each separate type of award that this show was nominated for. This is the more complicated piece. One piece is used for each award (j.e. a seperate piece for the tonys, drama desks, and so on). The title of the award is placed in the AwardTitle section and should be wiki-linked when apropriate. Then, each award is placed in a respective Award# field. Names of awards should be limited to two words (i.e. Best Actress, Set Design, Outstanding Director) and should be wiki-linked to appropriate articles (if they exist). The To# section should be filled out if the award went to a particular person and this is not obvious in the rest of the article (i.e. if the director of a production is already listed, no need to list them here. Awards like "Outstanding Actor" would use this section.) Then the Won# section should have an "x" put in it (without the quotes) if the production won this award. Unneeded fields can (and should) be deleted (but no harm is done if they are left). |
|
Piece 3 | This one is very easy. Just put one at the very bottom of all the other pieces. Only one is needed (and only one should be used). It has no variables, no other information to enter, just put it at the bottom |

[edit] Example
This code:

Will give this:
The code looks complicated, but I don't think it's that bad. It's also a lot simpler than the table it's creating! So, go give it a try, tell me how it works! Best of luck! --omtay38 05:16, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
