OMS Video
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
OMS Video is a free, open source, royalty-free, video codec currently under development by Sun Microsystems's Open Media Commons as part of the Open Media Stack. It was announced on Apr 11 2008.
[edit] OMS Video design
OMS Video is based on an updated version of the H.261 codec as the patents on it have now expired. Vorbis is currently planned for use as the audio codec.
