Omphiscola glabra, Omphiscola glabra, (formerly known as Lymnaea glabra) is a species of small to medium-sized, air-breathing, freshwater snail, an aquatic pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Lymnaeidae.[1]

This European snail can be found from southern Scandinavia to southern Spain.

It lives in places such as swampy meadows and ditches.[2]
[edit] Shell description
The height of the shell is up to 15 mm and the width of the shell is up to 5,5 mm.[3]
[edit] Parasites
O. glabra can serve as intermediate host of several digenean trematodes. In France, O. glabra naturally infected with Fasciola hepatica [4], Paramphistomum daubnei [5], Haplometra cylindracea. [6] Moreover, recent report suggested that the species is also susceptible to Fascioloides magna infection. [7]
