Omgoleus is David Morris Perlman, who lived in Seattle, WA and worked in the computer industry for many years. He registered as a user of Wikipedia on 2005 December 12. He moved to Madison, WI in 2006 to work as a research intern in the Laboratory for Affective Neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is now a Ph.D. student in the psychology department. He works with fMRI data from highly experienced Tibetan buddhist meditators, and on realtime fMRI neurofeedback, particularly in the amygdala. His formal background is in physics and he picked up some knowledge of statistics from his father, who is a professor in that field. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on 1972 September 25.
