[edit] "Dictator" Saddam

Do you agree with me omitting the label "dictator" in Khamis al-Obeidi? This doesn't show any sympathy for Saddam! - D. Cordobale 17:30, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Congrats!

Your map is on the main en.wikipedia.org page. Congratulation! TewfikTalk 21:46, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! This is some exciting news. Probably not to such a cheerful event, but It's very exciting for me. Glad you liked my contribution. -- Omernos 02:10, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Indeed, it is a very good map. I was wondering if you would be willing to use the same technology to make a map for the 2006 Arab-Israeli conflict, as its current map is pretty messy looking. It could really give the article some clear context. ~Rangeley (talk) 22:57, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Tonnes, I will try my best soon. -- Omernos 02:10, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Lebmap.jpg

Do you mind if I upload Image:Lebmap.jpg to Commons, because we sorely need a map like this over on Wikinews. --Saint-Paddy 23:51, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

No Problem at all -- It's all yours -- Omernos 02:08, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Does that include any future maps made by you pertaining to the conflict? --Saint-Paddy 17:25, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Of course, I have no problem at all. I'd permit you to upload any of the conflict maps to Commons. -- Omernos 17:55, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lebanon image

Hi, could you perhaps make a small change to the Lebanon image? As it is now it shows Beirut on the position of Sidon. Thanks! Junes 09:34, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I did change one as I added a thumb of a newer version to the talk of the news article. Hopefully it's better now. -- Omernos 10:07, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SVG Format

Hi, it looks like you used Photoshop Elements to make Image:Lebmap02.jpg. I think you need to use Inkscape or something similar to make a SVG version. If you don't want to make a SVG version, please upload a PNG version. Thanks. WP 05:47, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Lebmap02.jpg

You proably already know this and don't need to hear it from me, but nice work on the above map. youngamerican (ahoy-hoy) 16:57, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

I agree, great map, looks nice on the main page! I gave you a barnstar, sorry it doesn't spin for you! Caprosser 06:48, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Darine.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Darine.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs (talk) 12:16, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ruby-meshit-video1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ruby-meshit-video1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 19:41, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
