Hey, I can't believe nobody has welcomed you yet. Good you've joined, and I'm sure you'll impart your knowledge and writing skills on this great project. You may be interested in joining WikiProject Chess, and from the medical side there's WikiProject Medicine, with a whole raft of subprojects: WP:CLINMED (where most medics hang out), WP:MCB (molecular and cellular biology), WP:PHARM (pharmacology) and WP:PCM (preclinical medicine).
