Omega Recording Studios

Omega Recording Studios, is a recording studio at 5609 Fishers Lane, Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., in business since 1968.[1] The studio also offers studio space for the school of applied recording arts and sciences.[2]

The Omega Studios' School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences has utilized these facilities since 1977 to prepare its students for the real world through instruction in the operation of recording studio, audio production and sound reinforcement equipment.[4] The studio is nationally accredited by ACCSCT, and approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission and approved for veterans' educational benefits.[5] Five programs are offered:

  • Recording engineering
  • Electronic music synthesizers and MIDI
  • Sound reinforcement
  • Audio production techniques (Pro Tools Operator certification)
  • Music business
