Omega Performance Corporation is a United States-based performance improvement company that primarily serves financial services organizations from major offices in over a dozen countries around the world. Commonly referred to as Omega, the company provides consulting, training, and coaching solutions that span leadership, commercial and consumer lending, commercial and consumer sales, sales management, customer service, wealth management and private banking, and contact centers. Omega Performance is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Informa plc (INF on the London Stock Exchange), an international provider of specialist information and services for the academic and scientific, professional and commercial business communities.
[edit] History
Omega Performance was established in 1976 and became renowned for its revolutionary bank credit training programs. Commercial Loans to Business—an Omega program delivered via workshop, self-study, eLearning, or any combination of the three—is recognized as the industry standard for commercial loan training and is used by U.S. federal agencies such as the FDIC, Office of the Comptroller of Currency, and the Federal Reserve System. Commercial Loans to Business teaches lenders Omega Performance’s proprietary Decision Strategy—a framework for managing risk and making credit decisions that has been adopted by many of the world’s leading commercial lending organizations.
Omega Performance grew rapidly by developing a constant stream of innovative learning systems and tools that helped banks develop highly profitable sales and service cultures. Throughout the tumultuous 1980s and early 1990s, financial services organizations looked to Omega for solutions to challenges of competing in a more diversified marketplace, recapturing and retaining eroding market share, managing mergers, and leveraging the power of technology.
Today, the company continues to help financial services organizations meet these challenges by balancing credit risk and opportunity, establishing and growing customer relationships, turning service into sales, and leading people through change.
