Omasan Buwa

Undergraduate and part-time model Omasan Tokurbo Buwa represented Warri in the second Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. Although she was not exactly the judges favourite contestant, they felt the busty student was the right height. After representing her country in Miss Universe 1988 and Miss World 1988, she returned to the University of Maiduguri, where she was studying for an English degree, but left before graduation.

In the early nineties, she attracted criticism after she cut her long hair into a somewhat boyish style, and gained some weight. Apart from staring in the short-lived soap-opera Memories and becoming a tabloid favourite, Buwa owned a restaurant in Lagos for a few years before she relocated to the United States.

Buwa is now believed to be living in London.
