Omar Gaither (born March 18, 1984 in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an American football linebacker who played high school football at Myers Park High School and college football at the University of Tennessee from 2002-2005. He was drafted by the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles in the 5th round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
Gaither received significant playing time later in the 2006 season due to the release of Jeremiah Trotter and to the struggles and injury of starter Matt McCoy. Gaither got his first NFL start at WLB on December 4, 2006 on a Monday Night Football win against the Carolina Panthers. Gaither was named the starter at MLB in 2007 and played extremely well, intercepting 1 pass, defending 7 passes, and forcing 1 fumble. He wears the number 96 instead of his college number, 44.
During the 2007 season, Omar was the co-host with Mike Gill of the "Omar Gaither Show" on ESPN 1450 which is aired live from Chickie's and Pete's in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
