[edit] Mercurymon
I thought it was Mercurymon, and the warrior of steel was Mercuremon, after the french name for the metal? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.211.254.142 (talk) 06:35, 7 February 2007 (UTC).
- No, Mercurimon, a mega level Digimon who appears in Digimon Savers and the card game is a member of the Olympus Twelve.
- Mercurymon's name comes from Mercury the element, while Mercurimon's name comes from Mercurius (also known as Mercury), the Roman God of travelers, trade, revelation, and eloquence. Nightmare SE 10:31, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- But the Japanese card calls the Warrior Mercuremon. And the reading for the Olympian is also read Mercurymon. So why is the wikipedia changed? I don't remember the dub calling the Warrior Mercurymon, I remember Mercuremon.128.211.254.142 03:34, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The future of this article
Are we going to keep this article or just merge it into the future List of Mega Digimon? On a side note, there are 2 new members Dianamon (Lunamon's mega form) and Apollomon (Coronamon's mega form). Nightmare SE 21:30, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- uhh...why would we merge it? They're a group aren't they? As far as the article says, they do get mentioned in savers, and seems like they'll appear/get mentioned again in the new game.
- With the two new members - do we have a source for them? Or any information on them other than the fact that they exist? --`/aksha 12:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- Sorry I wasn't aware that Mercurimon was mentioned as a member of the group in Savers, I thought this group was similar to the Four Great Dragons where they've only appeared in the card game.
-
- No real source yet, Shining Celebi probably has something, if he doesn't see this than I'll contact him myself unless I actually find a source in the meantime. Nightmare SE 13:10, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

- They show up in the V-Jump magazine. They're the Ultimate levels in Lunamon and Coronamon's lines, the two stars, kind of, of Digimon Story Sunburst and Moonlight. The full lines are Sunmon > Coronamon > Firamon > Flaremon > Apollomon and Moonmon > Lunamon > REKISUMON > Crescemon > Dianamon. All we can say right now is that they're Ultimate levels, members of the Olympus Twelve, plus the little blurbs Sakuyamon translated on my site and TDP. And that they show up in Sunburst and Moonlight. Shining Celebi 18:31, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Future Olympians
Should we have anything about how the other 6 members would have to be Junomon, Vulcanmon, Venusmon, Ceresmon, Plutomon, and either Vestamon or Bacchusmon?
I mean, since it is the Olympus 12, the future members are pretty obvious. So is it okay to have a little blurb about it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.211.254.142 (talk) 03:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC).
- Perhaps we could name the Gods (like Ceres), but definitely not speculate what their names will be, especially when two of the already existing members have gone through a slight name change. Nightmare SE 01:59, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Also, in the original mythology, ten members were permanent, while two spots rotated often. We can't be certain who they will give those two spots. [This is my Greek knowledge, the Roman version may be different] Bellahdoll 22:03, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Bellahdoll
According to mythology the 12 Olympian Gods are: Jupiter, Juno, Neptune, Pluto, Venus, Apollo, Mars, Diana, Minerva, Vulcan, Vesta and Mercury and sometimes included Ceres and Bacchus. But the first group being already twelve gods those would be the ones being used for this group of digimon. Infinitydramon 1:49, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, it's just that Vesta gave up her seat to Bacchus. As for the name change - so far, Mercurymon is still in Japanese, isn't it? So the japanese names of Mercuremon for the Steel Warrior and Mercurymon for the God man still apply, don't they?
pluto's not in it (common mistake) , and hestia gave up her spot to bacchus.
-
- There are many versions of the 12 - some include Pluto, and some do not include Bacchus. In fact, Bacchus is not in the "classical" 12.Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 02:22, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
In fact, the translation on http://www.digimon.channel.or.jp/city/gallery/accel/index.html is Mercurymon and Neptunemon. I'm really confused as to the source of these "name changes".128.211.254.142 16:16, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing any romanji on that page. Mercurimon has always been Mercurimon. Mercurymon is a different digimon (the digimon who's called Mercuremon in japanese). As for Neptunmon, it's always been without the "e". (Longer reply on the Digimon Project's main talk page) --`/aksha 12:05, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's in the actual charts for the digivices. I still don't understand where the name Mercurimon came from - The only romaji I have seen so far is the D-Accel site, which calls him Mercurymon. As for the Steel Warrior - I don't know if I watched a different dub or something, but he was called Mercuremon.128.211.178.133 16:36, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have no idea...how he could have been called "Mercuremon" instead of "Mercurymon" in a dub. Since "Mercuremon" and "Mercurymon" are pronounced the same in english. --`/aksha 03:15, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- No, it would have been pronounced just like it is in japanese - like Po-KE-Mon is. It's not Pokeymon. In any case, the only english source for the name I can find is the figurine, which does call it Mercurymon, so I withdraw my complaint, especially since the dub studiously avoided actually naming the characters in the credits. Oh well.128.211.181.214 06:10, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Recent?
Was just reading the article when I saw this, "This group is primarily a Digimon Card Game group, although it has appeared in the recent Digimon game Digimon World Data Squad."
Didn't Marsmon made an apperance 4 years prior to this game, in Digimon World 3? I don't completely understand this sentence.60.50.59.234 (talk) 15:11, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- He appeared, but was not called an Olympian. The card game first started putting characters on the list, and then eventually Digimon World DS and its anime included it.Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 04:52, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
