[edit] History

The basketball team rose to prominence in the years 1950-60. In 1970, the team won the championship of France thanks to players of exception like Jean-Claude Bonato, Dan Rodriguez and Jacques Cachemire.
At the beginning of the Eighties , Antibes suffered several disappointing seasons, in spite of the contribution of players of first order. The team goes up little by little in power and gains the championship of France of Pro A in 1991. At the beginning of the Nineties, Antibes dominateted the French basketball, against the teams of Limoges and Pau-Orthez.
In 1995, the club won a third national title, before the financial problems do not continue the club. In 2002, in spite of an acquired sporting maintenance, the club was relegated to Pro B for lack of financial guarantees.

The club then knew difficult years in Pro B. In 2006, a new dash is given to start again the club, but it is "victim" of the reduction of the number of clubs in the élite[1 ], since while finishing 16th on 18 it is retrogressed in NM1 for the season 2007-08.
