Olympiacos Water Polo Club is the water polo team of the Greek sports club Olympiacos. It was founded in 1925 and was among the founding members of the Hellenic Federation of Swimming Fans. Today the Federation has been renamed to Hellenic Federation of Swimming.
Olympiacos is amongst the most successful Greek and European teams as they have won numerous titles in Greek and European competitions. In the Greek League Olympiacos along with their eternal enemy of Piraeus, Ethnikos, share the majority of the titles of Champion but Olympiacos is the only Greek team to have won the Euroleague and the European Super Cup, in 2002 when they won Honvéd in Budapest and Vasas respectively. They have also participated in 3 more finals, one in the Euroleague and two in the Cup Winners' Cup. Olympiacos finished fourth in the Euroleague Final Four 2007, while in the Greek championship 2007 finals, Olympiacos defeated Ethnikos with 3-1 total wins and won the championship for 20th time, while they won all their 22 matches in the regular season.
It is the only club in Water Polo history that has won a national championship, a national cup, the Euroleague and a European Super Cup within a single year (in 2002).
The club has also a successful women's team which belongs to the top Greek teams having won 2 championships. They have also participated in a Champions Cup and twice in a Len Trophy final four. Their latest success was the participation in the 2006-07 Women's LEN Trophy Final Four, where they finished 4th.
