Olympiacos SC is the volleyball team of the Greek sports club Olympiacos. It was founded in 1930 and has won 22 National Championships and 11 Greek Cups. They are ranked among the top European teams and they are the most successful Greek club.
Olympiacos are the dominants of Greek volleyball, having gained the most national championships and cups while they are the only Greek team to have won European trophies (2 Cup Winners Cup). They have also played in many Final Fours in the European competitions which makes them one of the biggest volleyball clubs of Europe.
Olympiacos have a women volleyball team as well which was founded in 1992. Contrary to the men's team, women of Olympiacos had never played a major role until 2007, when they finished second in the Greek league and eliminated their eternal enemy Panathinaikos in the Greek Cup. In the season 2007-08 the women department reached the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup.
