[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia and a note about promotional editing

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising in articles. For more information on this, see

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! -- SiobhanHansa 12:48, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

It would appear you have not taken to heart any of the information I made available to you above, or the comments I have made on the PLASA talk page. Please take a moment to read in particular our conflict of interest guidelines, and our verifiability policy (along with the associated reliable source guideline). I'm particularly concerned about your repeated use of PLASA webpages as references for claims of how good PLASA is - these are not appropriate. Such claims require independent, respected sources. Also the inclusion of external links to your website within the body of the text is out of keeping with our house style and looks particularly promotional. I have reverted (again) most of your recent edits. Please discuss on the talk page before continuing to push this biased approach to coverage. Thanks -- SiobhanHansa 20:02, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PLASA.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PLASA.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 01:08, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Oliverkinne - FYI, I've provided the fair use rationale for this image for the PLASA page. Take a look at it to see what's required for others. Let me know if you need help with any other images. -- SiobhanHansa 02:45, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Dear SiobhanHansa, thank you for adding the fair use rationale. As before, this is all still new to me, so having a template is always helpful. I'm constantly finding out new things that help me create contributions that are worth of Wikipedia and meet all their requirements. --Oliverkinne 11:25, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] PLASA Show

As you seemed to be quite involved in the PLASA article I thought you might be interested in a spin-off from it, PLASA Show, that I recently created. SheffGruff (talk) 16:45, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
