Oliviya Hope Veléz-Lopez (Born September 25th 1985 in Cuba) is an aspiring singer songwriter, currently working towards a major record deal with RCA Records. The talented singer/pianist is due to burst onto the scene early 2008.

Born in Cuba in 1985 on September 25th to International shipping heir and Ex-Model Parents, Oliviya was always the performer, not only singing but modelling as well. After many years of practice and dedication demo's were made and given to various A&R people. In 2006 Veléz-Lopez was picked up a development deal with RCA RECORDS/SonyBMG. Influences were found in the old greats such as Billie Holiday. In recent times her biggest influence is Alicia Keys. Oliviya signed with Select Model Management in 2005 but left on her own accord to give full attention to her music. Veléz-Lopez has modelled for such labels as MolokoKid, ASOS and Zara.

Currently in the studio, Veléz-Lopez is recording her debut album Distractions and working on a side project lending vocals to French electro producer Eric Hassam.

• Veléz-Lopez had a brief role in ITV drama Footballers' Wives playing the role of Imelda for two episodes.
• Oliviya also appeared on Fashion TV (sky channel 272)
• More recent Veléz-Lopez filmed performances for BBC THREE music program Sound, which is set to be aired March 2008.
