Oliver Fartach-Naini

Oliver Fartach-Naini (*1964) is a German guitarist living in Australia where he teaches at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide.

Oliver Fartach-Naini performs as a soloist, with orchestral accompaniment, in duo with Korean guitarist Professor Lee Song-Ou, German flautist Thea Nielsen and as a member of the quintet "Tango Concertante".

The newly formed quartet ‘Didar’ with the CD „Didar – Live in Berlin“, featuring Majid Derakhshani (Composition, Tar, Voice), Thea Nielsen (Flute), Amir Abbas Zare (Daf) and Oliver on guitar is one of his latest projects and yet another exciting venture discovering new horizons.

To date he has released 7 CDs with 5 different chamber music formations for the German Labels Deutsche Grammophon, Kreuzberg Records and Acoustic Music Records.

The German publisher “Edition Margaux” honors Oliver with the “Collection Oliver Fartach-Naini” which is a selection of the numerous pieces composers from all over the world have dedicated to Oliver and his ensembles.

Oliver Fartach-Naini is a featured artist of the New York String Manufacturer “La Bella”.

As a student of American guitarist and composer Laurie Randolph Oliver Fartach-Naini holds degrees from the "University of the Arts Berlin" (Instrumental Studies) and the Academy of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig (Music Performance). Oliver has participated in international master classes with Pepe Romero, Abel Carlevaro, Alvaro Pierri, Eduardo Fernandez, Nigel North, Hopkinson Smith, Thomas Müller-Pering and others.
