[edit] History
[edit] Arrival
He first arrived on the show when he was in the Scarlet Bar and overheard Carmella Cammeniti (Natalie Blair) leaving Sebastian a message on his mobile. Oliver explained everything to Carmella about Will lying to everyone, including Carmella, and the fact that he was the backpacker, not Sebastian.
[edit] Ray Cammeniti
Oliver started to help Carmella with her problems, including her problems with her uncle, Ray (Jeff Kovski). When Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and his daughter Elle (Pippa Black) almost killed Oliver and Carmella by bombing their car, Oliver and Carmella immediately suspected that Ray was the one who had planted the explosive (as revenge for Carmella selling Ray's infant granddaughter two years prior). When Carmella confronted Ray, he swore he was not responsible. Carmella did not believe him, and Ray became so distressed that he succumbed to a heart attack, after warning Carmella that someone else must be after her. As Ray was rushed to hospital, Carmella confided in Oliver that she believed what Ray had said, but Oliver was not convinced.
[edit] Conquering Lassiter's
The debate over Ray's guilt resulted in the couple splitting, and Oliver began a flirtation with Elle. Oliver ended the relationship with Elle when she confessed to him that she was helping her father steal his family fortune. Oliver and Elle, who had both been wronged by Paul, schemed to make him pay. They pretended to be engaged, much to Paul's delight, as Paul believed that this meant he would now have access to Oliver's inheritance. After convincing Paul to sell Oliver his shares in Lassiters, Elle and Oliver pulled the rug out from under him when they publicly declared that they were taking the company away from him during their faux engagement party. Oliver was torn between feelings for Carmella and Elle, who was now his business partner. Oliver began seeing Elle but did not go public about it.
[edit] Parental controversy
Elle took a hair from Oliver's jacket and a hair from Alan Napier (Barry Friedlander) after Napier stated that he was Oliver's grandfather, and did a DNA test. Oliver received the DNA test results and discovered that Napier was telling the truth. Oliver tracked down Napier's son Marcus (James Lawson) and asked if he was his father. Marcus said he wasn't, but that his sister Rebecca (Jane Hall) is his mother. Oliver tracked down Rebecca and her other son, Declan (James Sorensen), and told them that he wanted to get to know them. When Oliver asked Rebecca about his (and Declan's) father, she informed him that he was a violent man, and it was hinted that Declan was conceived via rape. Meanwhile, Elle tracked down Richard (Blair Venn), who informed her that Rebecca had been lying about everything, and that all he wanted was to see his son (apparently he only knows he has one son). Oliver was furious with Elle for going behind his back and tracking down his father, and Paul insisted that Rebecca and Declan, who both feared that Richard would come after them, move in with him for their own safety.
[edit] Chloe
Now Oliver is going to be a father with Carmella, as she is pregnant with their daughter. He does not love Carmella but when he saw her with Marco he went into a rage of jealously which resulted in Carmella revealing her true feelings for Oliver. Chloe was born on 21st January 2008, with Respiratory Distress Sydrome. Oliver is also going to fight for full custody for Chloe as he doesn't trust Marco at looking after his daughter.
[edit] Mia Silvani
Oliver was attracted to Marco's sister Mia. Mia and Oliver had become closer as they had both wanted to know the real reason that Marco and his ex, Marissa, divorced. Oliver and Mia were caught in the act at Carmella's apartment, but continued their relationship in secret. Oliver and Mia broke up, though, at Chloe's christening after Oliver found out the truth about Marco and told the whole neighbourhood.
[edit] Reunion
After he broke up with Mia, Oliver rekindled his relationship with Elle. Elle was apprehensive about starting a relationship again as things could get complicated and messy, however she followed her heart much to Rebecca's dismay. Oliver was upset when Elle and Rebecca called him a "pants man" (aka womaniser) and said his feelings for Elle weren't genuine. When Carmella finds out the Oliver and Elle have rekindled their relationship she's not impressed. Once Oliver discovered that Elle had been keeping her fathers affair away from him, Oliver dumped Elle.
