The Olive Colobus or Van Beneden's Colobus (Procolobus verus) is a species of primate in the Cercopithecidae family. It is found in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, and possibly Benin. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical swamps. It is threatened by habitat loss.[2]
The Olive Colobus is the only species currently in the genus Procolobus; all other extant species have been removed to the new genus Piliocolobus.[1]
