Welcome, and thank you for editing Wikipedia. Please be careful not to remove maintenance templates from articles without addressing the issue listed. If you believe the tag is placed in error use the article's associated talk page to explain your changes. Thank you. --Evb-wiki (talk) 14:25, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] April 2008

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Kosmopolis, you will be blocked from editing. That you are being paid to do this as you stated on Talk: Kosmopolis is especially problematic. Toddst1 (talk) 16:43, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your request to undo deletion of the article Kosmopolis

I am repling here so that other admins have the benefit of this reply:

I am declining your request to have the article restored for the following reasons:

  1. It is a cut-and paste copy of http://www.cccb.org/kosmopolis/K06/eng/memoria.pdf. It's a blatant copyright violation. You even put "© Susana Gellida, 2005" in the article
  2. Even if you licenced the material to Wikipedia under GFDL (here's how:Wikipedia:Requesting_copyright_permission#For_text) That article would have to be completely rewritten to not be speedily deletion for being blatant advertising.

That you've been paid to use Wikipedia to promote this event is against Wikipedia policy. You will be blocked as an "Advertising-only account" if you continue. Toddst1 (talk) 17:38, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Jorge Wagensberg

A tag has been placed on Jorge Wagensberg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Lincolnite (talk) 01:01, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] June 2008 (http://spam.cccb.org)

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia. MER-C 09:12, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. MER-C 09:10, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
