Oleksandr Melaschenko, born December 13, 1978 in Poltava, Ukraine) is an Ukrainian footballer, who currently plays for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. He plays as a striker. His previous clubs include Vorskla Poltava, Dynamo Kyiv and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. In 2001 playing for Dynamo Kyiv, he was voted as the third best Ukrainian Footballer of the Year, after Andriy Shevchenko, and Hennady Zubov. He was part of the Ukrainian National Team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds.
