Olena Oleksandrivna Muravyova (maiden name Apostol-Kehych) 22.V.(3.VI) 1867, Kharkiv 11.II.1939 Kiev.
Ukrainian opera singer and vocal teacher. Merited Artist of Ukrainian SSR (1938). Studied at the Moscow conservatory (1886-88) From 1890-1901 soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. From 1900 she was one of the most renown teachers of voice in Ukraine and schooled over 400 singers, among them - O. Byshevska, Z. Hayday, I. Kozlovsky, L. Rudenko, M. Shostak.
She kept close contact with M. Lysenko, B. Liatoshynsky, V. Kosenko, L. Revutsky and other composers.
