Ole Gustavsen

Born in the fjord city of Holmestrand, Ole Gustavsen has a background in advertising and architecture. He joined Snøhetta in 1994 where he played a critical role in developing the furnishing for the award-winning Alexandria Library. He was appointed Managing Director in 1996 and has led the day to day operations for the entire office.

In 2002 the officing strategy at Snøhetta won the annual prize for officing strategy of the year, where Ole Gustavsen was the keynote speaker.

Active giving exhibitions and lectures, Ole Gustavsen is one of the key voices promoting the unique and diverse working methodologies employed at Snøhetta[neutrality disputed]. He is active in the board of directors within the office and in the professional architectural community related to research and development projects. He is also active in promoting Norway as a country that is focusing on excellent design and technology.
