In football (soccer), ticket touting refers to resale of tickets via the black market. Resale of football matches is illegal in some countries, such as the United Kingdom, where it is an offence covered by Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

The issue of ticket touting has a particularly high profile in the case of the FIFA World Cup, where FIFA has introduced measures such as named tickets in an attemmpt to prevent touting.
