[edit] Merge proposal
Two articles on the same building? Absolute no-brainer merge. I'll get to it asap, if no one else does. FYI, my preference will be to retain an English article name, as the building was built during the building was built during the Saint James business district heydey and the English name has currency. - I agree with the merger, obviously, and suspect the English name is more appropriate as per your rationale. I wonder if a better title would be Royal Bank Building (Montreal) since ghits shows that as more common than Old Royal Bank Building. Some more discussion on a move after the merger might be appropriate. DoubleBlue (Talk) 17:15, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, to merge (in fact, be bold and just do it). We should be using the most common name in English. Skeezix1000 (talk) 19:38, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

- I had wondered about just calling it Royal Bank Building (Montreal), as well. However, as the lead in Place Ville Marie points out, this building is/was sometimes refered to as the Royal Bank Tower in Montreal and I'm worried about creating confusion. What are you thoughts on retaining the "Old" in the title, so as to better distinguish this and PVM? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 20:05, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
