etc. The species 'africana' is a tall tree from the wet evergreen forests of West Africa. It is a timber species, known under the confusing name of African Oak or African Teak (leading to useless information when googled), but it is neither oak or teak but a valuable hardwood on its own merits. |
Oldfieldia is a plant genus under the family Picrodendraceae, the only of its subtribe (Paiveusinae).
