Oldenzaal is a municipality and a town in the eastern of theNetherlands, near to the border with Germany.
It received city rights in 1249. Oldenzaal is the birth place of the Dutch football pro Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink. It also is on the railway from Zutphen to Oldenzaal.
